Questions people ask
What is condition 8501?
A visa condition requiring you to maintain adequate health insurance for the whole time you are in Australia. It applies to many temporary visas, and breaching it can affect your visa.
Do I need cover if my country has a reciprocal agreement?
Australia has reciprocal health care agreements with several countries, but they cover only limited, medically necessary treatment and do not usually satisfy a visa condition on their own.
Can I include my family?
Yes. Most providers offer single, couple and family policies, and if your visa condition applies to you it generally applies to any dependants on the same visa.
